Bravery
I was riding into work this morning, listening to Stern on Sirius and I actually started to tear up.
Yeah, I said it!
Howard was talking about this father of two (his daughters were with him!), who courageously dove onto a complete stranger who, after having a seizure, stumbled down onto the tracks in the subway tunnel. The hero covered the man up so he wouldn’t get run over by the train! The train cleared both men by inches and both were saved.
When the train had gotten to a stop, he yelled up to, “Tell my daughters I am OK!”
This man, on his way to work, displayed a level of bravery few possess, unselfishly to save someone he didn’t know. Makes me proud to be a man. Makes me proud to be a father.
